Recherche et Sauvetage du Témiscamingue - RESTem - is a team of volunteers who are committed to supporting, comforting and helping victims and their parents in their efforts to find a missing friend or loved one on land or in the water.
Accredited by the Ministry of Public Safety, we operate as a non-profit organization. Our funding comes from fundraising and donations from companies or individuals. Our search and rescue activities are not limited to our city but are carried out throughout the Abitibi Témiscamingue region, also called District 08. Our team is made up of terrestrial searchers, team leaders, human trackers, underwater divers. -sailor and canine teams.
It should be noted that this group is currently undergoing restructuring.
