Sauvetage Bénévole Outaouais - Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue

Community members, serving the community. Founded in 1996 as SAR Global 1, Sauvetage Bénévole Outaouais – Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue (SBO-OVSAR) is a search and rescue team serving the Outaouais and Eastern Ontario regions. Our mission is to help individuals and communities through a service offering including: search and rescue, search management, running educational programs to help outdoor enthusiasts enjoy nature in a safe manner and support for municipalities in emergency cases.

SAR 360

SAR 360 is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that provides emergency response services to those in need. Our dedicated members train year-round in a variety of terrains, including urban and wilderness environments and in all weather conditions, to prepare for search and rescue missions and urban disaster response efforts.
In addition to dog training, team members receive extensive training in areas such as wilderness navigation, search and rescue techniques, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid, radio communication, crime scene management, and searcher survival.
