How can you help us?

The Association Québecoise des Bénévoles en Recherche et Sauvetage (AQBRS) is a non-profit organization registered as a charity, which allows us to issue receipts for charitable donations.

Like many organizations, the AQBRS is a victim of budget cuts. Although the Quebec Ministry of Public Security covers our members in the event of an accident and reimburses their expenses when they are deployed on a search operation at the request of the police authorities, we do not benefit from any financial assistance at any level. governmental whatsoever. This coverage does not include expenses incurred when our groups respond to family requests.

Training competent members and providing them with the equipment necessary to accomplish their mission is very expensive. Currently, in addition to donating their time, AQBRS members and member organizations cover all expenses related to their training and the purchase of their equipment, which represents significant sums.

Unless they are associated with a municipality's civil security program, groups must organize fundraising activities that barely allow them to keep their heads above water. In most cases, our organizations survive thanks to donations from the public.

You can contribute to our cause!

Corporate donations

Quebec companies can help us in several ways, either by donating any equipment likely to be useful in search and rescue or by discounts granted to group members for the purchase and replacement of their equipment or by donations in money.

Donations from individuals

We happily accept donations from the public, regardless of the amount. This is our main means of financing. The donations collected are mainly used to promote the AQBRS so that the families of missing or distressed people can get to know us and benefit from the essential but little-known resources that are the Association's member groups.

You can therefore contact us by telephone or by email at the following address: aqbrs1@gmail.com

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

There are many ways to help us

A few years ago, as part of an operation aimed at finding a possibly drowned person, the company SEA ESCAPE MARINE lent us an inflatable boat essential to the accomplishment of our work.

We would like to thank Mr. François Rainville for this generous loan.
