Montreal North, January 3, 2026
At the very beginning of the year, 23 members of the Montreal, Laval, Laurentians, and Lanaudière police district responded to a request for assistance from the Montreal Police Service (SPVM), which was searching for a 68-year-old man who had mysteriously disappeared in Montreal North. After a long day of searching in bitterly cold conditions, the man had not been found. He was found the next day in Laval, safe and sound.
Rimouski, November 25 and 26, 2025
On November 25 and 26, 16 members of the Gaspé-Bas-Saint-Laurent region assisted the Sûreté du Québec police officers who had launched a search for Mr. Éric Avon, well-known in the Rimouski area for his involvement in collegiate sports. After two days of intensive searching, Mr. Avon was unfortunately found deceased.
Racine, November 9, 2025
A second mobilization of members from the Eastern Townships in three days. Assisted by members from the Central Quebec region, 16 members participated in an operation to find a woman who had gone hunting the previous day. Fortunately, she was found safe and sound.
Mont-Tremblant, November 8, 2025
Exceptionally, at the request of the family of a 22-year-old man who went missing in Mont-Tremblant in February 2025, 25 members from the Montreal-Laval-Laurentides-Lanaudière and Outaouais regions conducted additional searches in an effort to finally find him. Unfortunately, despite all these efforts, he was not found.
Brigham, November 7, 2025
Members of the Eastern Townships region were assisting the Sûreté du Québec police officers who had launched a search following the mysterious disappearance of a 46-year-old man several days earlier. By the end of the day, the man had not yet been found.
Saint-Jérôme, October 28-30, 2025
At the request of the Saint-Jérôme City Police Service, 16 officers from the Montreal, Laval, Laurentians, and Lanaudière regions participated in an operation to find a 26-year-old man who had gone missing in an urban area. The search, which began on the night of October 28, ended on October 30 following the discovery of the man's body.
Sainte-Adèle, from October 19 to 21, 2025
For three days, members from the Montreal, Laval, and Lanaudière regions assisted Sûreté du Québec officers who were searching for a 79-year-old woman who had gone missing in Sainte-Adèle. During these three intensive days, our members logged more than 224 hours of searching.
Despite all efforts, at the time of demobilization, the woman suffering from cognitive loss had not yet been found.
Monts-Valin, September 30 to October 2, 2025
To assist in the search for a missing hunter in the Monts-Valin region, members of District 2 - Saguenay-Lac St-Jean - were deployed on September 30 and October 1. Members of District 3 - Capitale Nationale-Chaudière-Appalaches then took over on October 2 to continue the search. Unfortunately, after three days of intensive searching, the man has still not been found.
Saint-René, September 29, 2025
Members of the Bas St-Laurent/Gaspésie district were requested to assist in the search for a missing hunter in the Matane region. After a day of searching, the hunter had still not been found. The search continued the next day and resulted in the man being found safe and sound after two nights spent in the forest.
Val-Brillant, September 15, 2025
On September 15, members of the Gaspésie-Bas St-Laurent region were again called upon to try to locate an elderly man who had been missing for several days. Clues found helped focus the search in a more specific area.
Five members participated in the operation. The man was found deceased.
Rimouski, September 1, 2025
The members of the Gaspésie-Bas Saint-Laurent region were requested by the Sûreté du Québec, which was looking for a man from Rimouski whose disappearance had been reported the day before.
Thirteen members took part in the search which led to the discovery of the weakened but still alive man.
Pointe-aux-Trembles, August 2, 2025
For the second time today, members of the Montreal region were mobilized. This time, it was at the request of the SPVM, following the report of suicidal comments and behavior by a man from Pointe-aux-Trembles. Thanks to the vigilance of witnesses and the effectiveness of the investigation, he was found safe and sound during our members' mobilization.

Saint-Anicet, August 2, 2025
On August 2, members from the Montreal region responded to a request from the Montérégie Sûreté du Québec, which had begun a search for a man who had gone missing in Saint-Anicet. His life was feared for. The man was quickly found safe and sound while members were traveling to the search site.
Pointe-Fortune, July 24, 2025
On July 24, eleven members and two drone teams from the Outaouais region assisted Sûreté du Québec officers who were searching for a man who had gone missing the day before in Pointe-Fortune, Montérégie.
By midday, the man was found safe and sound. A happy ending!
Saint-Jérôme, July 23, 2025
On July 23, the assistance of the AQBRS was requested by the Saint-Jérôme police department, which was looking for a man in his thirties whose disappearance had been reported the day before.
Eighteen members from the Montreal, Laval, Laurentides, and Lanaudière regions quickly responded to the police service's request to conduct an urban search. The man was finally found in the middle of the evening.
Victoriaville, July 5, 2025
Our members in the Mauricie-Centre-du-Québec region assisted Sûreté du Québec officers who were actively searching for a woman missing for several days in Victoriaville. New clues allowed the police to target a more specific area.
After several hours of searching, our members were demobilized without the woman being found. The police investigation continues.
Saint-Germain-de-Kamouraska, July 5, 2025
Members of the Gaspésie-Bas-Saint-Laurent region were requested to reinforce the Sûreté du Québec police officers who had begun a search to find a man who had been reported missing in Saint-Germain-de-Kamouraska, in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region.
As soon as our members were deployed on the ground, the man was spotted by the helicopter crew.
Saint-Côme, June 29, 2025
On June 29, members of the Montréal-Laval-Laurentides-Lanaudière and Mauricie districts responded to their ninth request for assistance of the month. They were responding to a request from the Sûreté du Québec, which was searching for a missing person in the Saint-Côme region of Lanaudière.
18 members were deployed and quickly demobilized when the investigation determined that the person could be in another region.
Saint Adele, June 27, 2025
Members of the Montréal-Laval-Laurentides-Lanaudière district were called in to locate a missing man in Sainte-Adèle. Seventeen searchers participated in this operation. Police officers had located the missing man's vehicle a few hours before the deployment. The search ended early in the afternoon when the person was found.
La Tuque, June 27, 2025
Early this morning, eleven members from the Mauricie | Centre-du-Québec region were mobilized to find a little girl who went missing late in the evening of June 26. Fortunately, the girl was found safe and sound before our members even arrived at the search site.
Drummondville, June 25, 2025
Nineteen of our members from the Mauricie, Centre-du-Québec, and Estrie regions assisted Sûreté du Québec officers who were beginning a search to locate a missing woman from Drummondville. Late in the day, as an additional day of searches was planned, the woman was unfortunately found dead.
Montérégie, June 15 to 18, 2025
Starting on June 15 and for four days, members from the districts of Montreal, Laval, Laurentides, Lanaudière, as well as those from Estrie and Outaouais, took turns trying to find a 3-year-old girl who was the victim of child abandonment.
More than 120 members assisted the police. Miraculously, the girl was found safe and sound.
Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, June 2 and 3, 2025
On June 2, members of the Outaouais region were mobilized by the Sûreté du Québec to attempt to locate a woman who was the victim of a rafting accident the day before. Assisted by members from the Montreal, Laval, Laurentides, and Lanaudière regions, they combed the banks of the Rouge River. Drone teams also provided support during the two-day operation.
When our members were demobilized, the woman had not yet been found.
Saguenay, May 30, 2025
At the request of police authorities, on May 30, our nautical team was deployed to the Saguenay River to attempt to locate a missing person. Their boat had been found capsized the day before.
A few hours after the search began, the weather conditions deteriorated, and the team had to be demobilized.
Saint-Polycarpe, May 30, 2025
On May 30, the Sûreté du Québec in the Montérégie region requested the assistance of our members to locate a woman from Saint-Polycarpe who had been reported missing the previous day. Seven members mobilized to support the police.
Fortunately, the woman was found safe and sound.
Mulgrave and Derry, May 23 and 24, 2025
On May 23 and 24, members of the Outaouais region responded to a request from the Sûreté du Québec, which began a search for a 77-year-old man who had lost his way in the forest in Mulgrave-et-Derry. Day and night, 45 members responded to the search to support the police. Fortunately, the man was found safe and sound despite adverse weather conditions.
Frelighsburg, April 29, 2025
Late in the evening of April 28, 2025, the Sûreté du Québec requested our intervention following the disappearance of a woman in Frelighsburg, requesting our presence on the scene the following morning. Seventeen members of the AQBRS quickly responded to the call. The woman was located by one of our teams, who then took charge of her and transported her to the paramedics who had arrived as backup, so that she could be taken to the hospital. Her life is not in danger. We thank the Sûreté du Québec for the trust placed in our organization.
Saint-Sauveur, April 26, 2025
On April 26, 2025, the Sûreté du Québec called on our services to locate a man from Saint-Sauveur whose disappearance had been reported the day before. 18 members of the AQBRS quickly responded to the police call. Our members' motorized equipment and expertise in inclined plane rescue were needed to extricate the body of the man who unfortunately died. We would like to thank the police officers for their trust.
Saint-Jérome, March 3, 2025
On March 3, 2025, 16 members from the Montreal, Laval, Laurentides, and Lanaudière regions responded to a request for assistance from the Saint-Jérôme police department, which was looking for a 73-year-old man suffering from cognitive impairment. The man had left his shelter during the day. The temperature was freezing, and the man had left wearing very little clothing.
Thanks to a rapid and effective mobilization, the man was found safe and sound.
Pierrefonds, July 11 and 12, 2024
On the evening of July 11, 2024, members of the Montreal, Laval and Lanaudière region were mobilized by the SPVM to try to find a severely intoxicated woman in Pierrefonds, on the island of Montreal. 25 members of the AQBRS quickly responded to this request. The rapid and efficient deployment made it possible to find the woman safe and sound.
Saint-Octave-de-Métis, July 11, 2024
On July 11, members of the Gaspésie/Bas Saint-Laurent region assisted the Sûreté du Québec who had undertaken a search to find a disoriented 88-year-old woman in Saint-Octave-de-Métis, in Bas Saint-Laurent. Lawrence.
Despite wandering for more than a day, the woman was found safe.
Montreal, July 2, 2024
On July 2, 2024, 25 members of the AQBRS from the Montreal, Laval, Lanaudière region responded to a request for assistance from the SPVM who were trying to find an intoxicated woman in Pierrefonds, on the island of Montreal. The rapid and efficient deployment made it possible to find the woman safe and sound in the middle of the night.
Dolbeau-Mistassini, May 23 to 27, 2024

From May 23 to 27, two teams successively assisted the Sûreté du Québec who were looking for a woman reported missing in Dolbeau-Mistassini.
For 5 days, teams from the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region and the National Capital joined the police to carry out searches in an area made particularly difficult due to last year's forest fires.
Nearly 300 person hours were invested in this operation. Unfortunately, at the time of demobilization, the woman had not yet been found.
Trois-Rives, May 20, 2024
On May 20, 2024, the Sûreté du Québec called on our groups in Mauricie/Centre-du-Québec to support them in their efforts to find a 58-year-old woman who had been missing for two days in Trois-Rives, in Haute -Mauricie.
Fortunately, the efforts put in place made it possible to find the woman safe and sound.
Fishing, May 10, 2024
On May 10, 2024, 28 members from the Outaouais region including a drone and mountain bike team responded to a request for assistance from the Sûreté du Québec who were looking for a 46-year-old man who missing.
Unfortunately, the man's body was found mid-afternoon.
West Bolton, April 25, 2024
At the end of the day on April 25, our members in the Estrie region were called for reinforcements by the Sûreté du Québec who were looking for an 84-year-old man who had gone missing in a wooded area of Bolton-Ouest.
The search continued throughout the evening and, fortunately, the man was found safe and sound a few kilometers from where the operation was taking place.
Disraeli, April 22, 2024
On April 22, 14 members from the Capitale-Nationale region responded to a request from the Sûreté du Québec who were continuing a search to find a man who had gone missing the day before.
The man's body was found at the end of the day.
Bury, April 22, 2024
On April 22, 2024, members of the Estrie region were called upon again with the aim of continuing the search to find a man who disappeared last January.
Unfortunately, this resumption of the search did not make it possible to find the man.
Montreal, April 10, 2024
On April 10, around twenty members of different groups in the Montreal region and surrounding areas participated in the search for a 72-year-old individual who was last seen on René-Lévêque East. He had gone for a walk and his loved ones had no news. Thank you to the SPVM for your trust.
The man was found safe in the evening.
Sainte-Louise, February 25, 2024
On February 25, it was the turn of the members of the capiate-Nationale to travel to Sainte-Louise, near Saint-Jean-Port-Joli in order to lend a hand to the police officers of the Sûreté du Québec who were at the search for a 43-year-old man who disappeared the day before.
Unfortunately, the man was found deceased.
Sainte-Adèle, February 19, 2024
On February 24, 2024, 7 members from the Montreal, Laval, Laurentides, Lanaudière region assisted the Sûreté du Québec police officers who were carrying out searches in order to find a man from Montreal who had gone hiking in Sainte-Adèle, in the Laurentians.
After a day of searching, the man had not been found. The members were demobilized while police continued their investigation.
Montreal, January 4, 2024
On January 4, 12 members of the AQBRS were mobilized by the Montreal Police Department to try to find a man suffering from Alzheimer's disease who had left the hospital a few hours earlier.
Fortunately, thanks to rapid and effective mobilization, the man was found safe and sound after a few hours of searching.
